The Patacancha Enduro route is considered one of the most demanding in Peru. Its difficulty is due to the high altitude at which it takes place and the challenging technical climbs it presents.

During the tour we will cross spectacular high Andean landscapes, observing large herds of alpacas and small towns where communities considered direct descendants of the Incas still live.

Itinerary

Day 1

Tour Itinerary

We head towards the Sacred Valley to begin this challenging adventure that begins above 4,200 m.

The first section is a freeride on high Andean terrain with typical high altitude vegetation. Then we connect with a more technical single track that includes rock gardens and small climbs with loose rock that require good technique and resistance. Along the route we will pass through the town of Patacancha, where the traditional Andean culture is kept alive.

Later we will make an approximate climb of 15 minutes until we reach an Inca archaeological site, from where a technical descent begins with Inca steps and sharp curves.

Finally we connect with the Pumamarka route, a fast and fluid trail that culminates with a small urban DH in the Plaza de Ollantaytambo.

A demanding, technical and culturally enriching day in the heart of the Andes.
